The beautiful abyss

Your Mind, a blessing and a curse

Your thoughts form a maze in your head, a beautiful mess of worries and fears. It’s fascinating that our minds as both a heaven and a dark abyss.

In its best moments, a mind is a place of boundless creativity and imagination, where one can dream and act for a better tomorrow and bring forth ideas that have the power to change the world.

In its worst moments, The mind can be a chamber of horrors, a labyrinth of self-doubt, fear, and despair. It can be a prison, trapping one in a cycle of negative thoughts from which there seems to be no escape, lost and adrift in a sea of uncertainty.

Brains are the powerhouse of output. They determine how your day goes and how productive you are throughout. It’s your duty to take care of it. Just like junk food isn’t good for your body, instant dopamine isn’t good for your mind.

Put in conscious efforts, eat healthy food that increases your energy, and feed your mind with time for mindfulness, gratitude, and good books help it rejuvenate and maintain a healthy emotional balance.

Put in the effort before it’s too late.

A study by Fredrickson and Joiner published in 2002 in the journal "Psychology and Health" investigated the relationship between positive emotions and physical health. The study found that people who experienced positive emotions, such as joy, contentment, and love, were more likely to engage in healthy behaviors, such as exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep. Our physical and mental health go hand in hand, and it takes a conscious effort to get the cycle moving to achieve a better lifestyle.

The endless cycle of positivity

Here are some steps to help curb a negative mindset:

It is where your dreams and aspirations take shape and your deepest fears and anxieties are born. It’s your responsibility to take care of it. Resolve your emotions to give space to creativity and curiosity.
